FLASH

This semester is my first true attempt to grasp the Adobe program 'Flash'.  At first this program can be a bit overwhelming, but once a comfort zone is found its just like them all...

Today i've finished my 3rd animation.  If you look at them in sequence from old-to-new it is clear that a great stride in quality has been made. 

What I've found the biggest help when trying to create an animation is have a plan.  Figure out what you want happening, and more importantly, know how you will make it happen.  This will help you save time in the long run, and make for a more organized animation.

Movie clips are nice too.

Favorite Interactive Site

Lately I've been going to a site called Reddit.  It is a user generated news site/message board where people vote on the content they like, and in exchange, it makes the main page.  It's a great way to pass time, and I also learn a lot of new stuff I wouldn't otherwise of bothered checking out.  The design of the site is very simple, and doesn't contain a lot of graphics making it easier and quicker to read once you get used to how it works.  Close second, http://www.zombo.com/.  You can do anything at zombo com

Favorite places to travel?

Unfortunately, I haven't traveled to many places other than the Caribbean, various states in America, and Canada.  Out of those places, I've been to the Bahamas 4 times as a kid and went back as a senior trip in 2007 with a group of friends.  The people are great, the weather is near perfect, and the clear  blue water tops it off as the favorite place i've visited.

When I get the time or money I either wanna make a camping trip in Alaska or check out what Europe has to offer.  Also, New Zealand is on my mind as a exotic destination and i'm not sure why.  Probably because it's on the other side of the world, who knows?

Worth 1000

Hello people, I was surfing through multiple photoshop contests on www.worth1000.com and came across "mamsects," a competition to creatively combine a mammal and an insect.  Some of these creatures are funny looking, some are just down right demented.  This is one of my favorites: Monkey Fly - Worth1000 Contests.  What would you call that anyways?  This contest is nice because it forces you to find relationships between two relatively unrelated creatures.
On the same topic of combining two unrelated elements...
